Mobius Gallery | UVNT ART FAIR 2024: International New Contemporary Art Fair

Mobius stands as a distinguished independent art gallery with a profound commitment to the promotion of cutting-edge contemporary art. Operating at the intersection of the Eastern European art scene and the global artistic community, Mobius acts as a dynamic catalyst for stimulating dialogue and fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas.

Over the past half-decade, Mobius Gallery has curated and showcased more than 40 exhibitions, organized 11 special events ranging from book launches to artist talks, hosted 28 open meetings with the public, published 7 artist catalogs, and participated in 8 international art fairs. 

The Mobius booth at this year's edition of UVNT features a captivating dual presentation, showcasing the works of two distinct artists: Gino Rubert from Spain and Roman Tolici from Romania. This pairing offers a compelling exploration of contrasting artistic narratives that, when brought together, form a harmonious and thought-provoking juxtaposition.

Gino Rubert's artistic creations possess a mysterious allure that is both disquieting and enticing. His work delves deep into the intricacies of human emotions, with themes of love, sensuality, and desire taking center stage. What sets Rubert apart is his ability to draw the viewer into his profound inner world, inviting them to play an active role in the narrative. His pieces transcend the physical realm, revealing the vulnerability underlying intense human experiences. The hallmark of Rubert's art lies in the palpable intimacy and connection he forges between the spectator and the evocative worlds he crafts. Conversely, Roman Tolici's art serves as a contemplative space that delves into the existential quandaries of contemporary existence. Tolici confronts challenging and seemingly exhausted subjects such as desire, love, sex, loneliness, and death, utilizing a disquieting visual vocabulary that leaves an indelible impact.
