On Valentine's Day, LOVE takes centre stage at Piata Amzei through a group exhibition that brings together 11 contemporary artists and poets exploring the timeless theme of love. The event turns the heart of the city into a territory where communities are invited to participate in a tender conversation on the subject.
“Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love.” – Thomas Lewis, A General Theory of Love
Throughout February, an international group of emerging and established artists engage with ideas of affection, tenderness, care, and empathy, encapsulating an indeterminate existence set between each other.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to express love more personally. A special space within Piata Amzei will be designated for visitors to write their love messages, allowing them to add a touch of intimacy to the public space and foster a sense of connection and community. Whether it's a confession, a poetic verse, or a simple declaration of affection, each message contributes to the collective celebration of love.
The exhibition opening on February 14th will feature a special soundtrack by Black Rhino Radio, setting the ambience for celebrating love in all its forms.
Join us at Piata Amzei as we come together to honour love in its many forms, transcending boundaries and embracing the universal language that binds us all
