Adi Tudose (b. 1987, Bucharest) is an artist-photographer based in Bucharest. After graduating The National University of Theatre and Film, he further explored his artistic discipline in Milano, New York, London and Paris.
Upon returning to Bucharest, he began to document the perpetual changing characteristic of his hometown. Tudose's artistic style is revolved around his relentless exploration of the individual, rather than the collective identity, to unveil the conditions of contemporary life, surrounded by profound solitude. The surfaces of his prints offer a seemingly infinite scale of darkness and light, and despite the subject, his shots are elegant and earnest. The images are highly cinematic, designating a demand for reexamining the fragility of familiar existence. Seizing almost stage-like surroundings the artist is investigating and shaping reality not obvious to the uncritical viewer.
